Folding removal boxes
Folding moving boxes is often part of private moves, company moves, and even international moves. On the day of the move at the latest, the cardboard boxes arrive, just waiting to be folded. You can transport a wide variety of things in them, because if you fold the cardboard boxes correctly, they will convince you with their high load-bearing capacity. So throw in your office supplies, folders, decorations and much more and bring your removal items to your new home! Before doing so, make sure to follow all the manufacturer’s instructions when folding. Although boxes are similar, there are sometimes variations. These specifications are usually written directly on the moving box itself.
Folding moving boxes: From bottom to top
You have probably already noticed from bulging plastic bags how important a stable bottom is. These tend to tear under the load of shopping goods. Accordingly, the bottom is the main focus when you fold your moving boxes properly. First, place the box in front of you so that the bottom is facing upwards – this is often marked accordingly. Then fold the four side flaps inwards, so that you can already see a loose bottom. Now lift the larger bottom flaps over the short side flaps. These already have a fold line which you use to push the overhanging bottom flaps in the middle between the side flaps.
For the next step, turn your moving box over and place it on the bottom you just folded. If you now look inside, you will see the two bottom flaps standing vertically. Press them down firmly to the side. Then fold down the small flaps from the top of the box and press them firmly against the side wall. When you fold your moving boxes like this, you can fill them.
Fold, close boxes and move
The last step in folding a moving box is only for the cover. To do this, insert the two upper flaps into each other. You can then make your way to the moving van or place your boxes in helping hands. The moving boxes are of course also suitable for storage in addition to the classic direct move. If you have any further questions, please contact Umzüge Mansholt directly.
